Disney's Animal Kingdom

Only Disney could pull off combining a zoo and theme park into a successful destination that feels unlike either. Animal Kingdom seamlessly blends animals in natural habitats, a safari expedition, live shows, and rides into the lush foliage of Africa and Asia. A bit of roadside Americana is thrown in to incorporate dinosaurs and archaeology. Often viewed as a half day park by thrill ride seekers, guests can easily fill an entire day exploring trails surrounded by roughly 1500 animals from 350 species and some 3000 species of plants. There are also unique theater performances, restaurants, character meet & greets, as well as the Wilderness Explorers adventure. Avartarland, based in part on James Cameron’s highly successful film, is breaking ground as a new addition to the 403 acre park.
