Monorail: The Walt Disney World Resort Monorail System may be undergoing refurbishment at any time. If Guests plan to use this form of transportation during their visit they should check the resort front desk to see if it is running on modified service and/or routes, as alternative transportation options will be available. Major refurbishment schedules will be posted here.


Magic Kingdom

Main Street Electrical Parade last day is October 9, 2016. It will move to Disneyland for an unspecified run in early 2017. There will not be a replacement during this time.

Prince Charming Regal Carousel – April 24 to May 18, 2017

Hall of Presidents — January 17 – June 29, 2017. Lengthy closure suggests more than just new President animatronic installation.



Mission: SPACE –  5th June 5 to July 31, 2017



Hollywood Studios

Water parks

The water parks may close due to cold temperatures in the winter months so make sure to check the forecast when making your plans. Parks rotate their annual refurbishment in the Fall/Winter months.

Wilderness Lodge — Multiple long terms projects:

Due to multiple resort refurbishment projects, Guests will notice construction work in various areas. Noise may be overheard while this work is being completed, but construction will not begin until after 9 a.m. Certain pathways, including the nature trail, will be unavailable. The Hidden Springs leisure pool area (the leisure pool at The Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge), resort beach, playground, Marina and Recreation fire pit will be unavailable. Through 2017.

Cubs Den activity center may be unavailable through Jan. 3, 2016 – Through early-mid 2017.
