Satu’li Canteen Will Offer a Creative Menu at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney World is offering a sneak peak of the creative new dishes to be offered at the Satu’li Canteen. Set to open May 27, 2017 with the rest of the Pandora expansion, this new land is themed top to bottom including the food. The menu aims towards a healthier bill of fare than the typical Disney counter service with more grains and vegetables and less fries. The dishes have a distinct Asian flair, though items should appeal to most diners. While kids can order chili-spiced crispy fried tofu, I imagine there will be a lot more orders of the...

Explore New Food Kiosks and more at the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

Epcot’s ever expanding International Flower & Garden Festival has become one of my favorite times of year to visit Disney World. The entire landscape is transformed into stunning garden displays with unique character topiaries and the addition of food kiosks highlights Epcot’s cultural themes. Outside of a few Spring Break weeks, the crowds are typically lower than the Food & Wine Festival and the atmosphere is more relaxed (aka less drinkers on a world tour). This year’s Festival has once again added more days and also two more kiosks. The Garden Rocks concert series has also added more variety...

Exciting Renovations Coming to Disney’s Coronado Springs and Caribbean Beach Resorts

Disney World has begun construction on a huge 15 story resort tower at Coronado Springs, which will add 500 more rooms. Two features that are of interest is the addition of suites and concierge level amenities; the first at a Moderate level resort. Coronado is already a very beautiful resort with amazing landscaping and an amazing variety of architectural designs making each building distinct, giving it the fell of a higher end property. The new upscale additions should fit in well. Caribbean Beach will also benefit from a new centralized shopping and dining area, which may help solve the...

2017 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival Fun Facts

It’s the time of year once again! The landscapes of Epcot are covered with blankets of beautiful flowers and unique character topiaries pop up everywhere. One of my favorite additions in recent years is the myriad of food kiosks scattered around the park. It’s so much fun to stroll around taking in all the sights, smells, and tastes. Need some sounds too? They even have that aspect covered with the Garden Rocks concert series (click here for schedule). If you’ve never been to Epcot, this is one of the best times of year to go; just skip the heavy...

Rivers of Light Finally Sets Sail at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

After many delays, the new nighttime Rivers of Light water pageant will finally debut at Disney’s Animal Kingdom February 17, 2017! I had hoped to see it on my last trip back in October since they had been doing test runs after hours, but no luck. Visiting Animal Kingdom after dark has always been one of my favorite and hard to come by Disney World experiences. Rivers of Light has already led to longer hours and even more activities, such as night time safaris and the use of projection technology on The Tree of Life. Check out this half...

A New Nightly Fireworks Show is Coming to Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom’s popular nighttime fireworks shows don’t change very often. The original Fantasy in the Sky soldiered on from park opening in 1971 all the way until 2003. It’s replacement, Wishes: A Magical Gathering of Disney Dreams, has since filled that spot for the past 14 years and saw the addition of projection technology on the castle. This year the new Happily Ever After   show will take technology even further as it blends projections, lasers, and fireworks along with the always rousing Disney music. Don’t worry, Tinker Bell will still make her famous nightly flight from Cinderella Castle. The...
