Building on experiences with the first iteration of the My Disney Experience app, Disney World has launched a new version to streamline the program for guests. The app is commonly used by guests for selecting and changing FastPass+, viewing attraction wait times, making and remembering dining reservations and more. Visually, the app has not changed much, but it is now easier to use with more user friendly navigation. They have also added a “My Resort Dashboard” for guests staying on property. According to Disney it “gives you access to your resort reservation details all in one place, including the...Read More
You don’t have to wait for the new Star Wars land to be built. Despite massive construction projects, Star Wars Fun is well underway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Star Tours ride will remain open as well as the adjoining Jedi Temple training stage. In addition, Disney has added a gallery, character meet and greets, live entertainment, and an amazing nighttime fireworks ad digital projection show. There’s even a 7 hour long tour for hard core Star Wars fans! The new Star Wars lands are scheduled to open in both Hollywood Studios and Disneyland in 2019. Until then, there’s...Read More
Great news Disneyland fans, the Main Street Electrical Parade’s run has been extended through August 20t, 2017. Long-time visitors will have a little while longer to enjoy this classic. Of course, if you’re a frequent Disney World guest like myself, it means that much longer with no night time parade. I have actually been delaying my first visit to Disneyland until Paint the Night returns, though it’s fun to see Disney shuffle some things around to different parks. Read below for some details about the parade from Disney. Per Disney PR: The Main Street Electrical Parade, one of the...Read More
Belle has long been a popular Disney character, but she wasn’t too easy to find around Disney World for many years. That changed with the addition of New Fantasyland and the popularity of the live action film. Belle and other Beauty and the Beast characters, such as Gaston, can now be found in several locations and events around the Parks. One of my favorites, Enchanted Tales with Belle located in magic Kingdom, is a great interactive attraction that lets you get up close and personal as part of the story. It’s a rare chance for the little kids to...Read More

Disney World is offering a sneak peak of the creative new dishes to be offered at the Satu’li Canteen. Set to open May 27, 2017 with the rest of the Pandora expansion, this new land is themed top to bottom including the food. The menu aims towards a healthier bill of fare than the typical Disney counter service with more grains and vegetables and less fries. The dishes have a distinct Asian flair, though items should appeal to most diners. While kids can order chili-spiced crispy fried tofu, I imagine there will be a lot more orders of the...Read More

Epcot’s ever expanding International Flower & Garden Festival has become one of my favorite times of year to visit Disney World. The entire landscape is transformed into stunning garden displays with unique character topiaries and the addition of food kiosks highlights Epcot’s cultural themes. Outside of a few Spring Break weeks, the crowds are typically lower than the Food & Wine Festival and the atmosphere is more relaxed (aka less drinkers on a world tour). This year’s Festival has once again added more days and also two more kiosks. The Garden Rocks concert series has also added more variety...Read More
